My contribution
My partner and I both had a vision on how we wanted our poster to look like to was important for us to know what images we were going to include in our poster. My partner has experience in editing we wanted to ensure our poster was of the best quality so she constructed it whereas I directed it, I advised her what images would fit best on our poster how it should be positioned on the poster. For our first draft I showed my partner a selection of images that we could use that would either display the build up to her suicide or hint out critical moments of her journey throughout the day. I also sketched a rough idea of how our overall poster should look like and showed her to see if we could come to agreements or to see if she would make adjustments to it. Before my partner and I could create our Poster we decided to sketch ideas on what type of eye shot we thought would suit or hint the storyline the most. From the start a shot of her eyes was our firm choice for our poster. We already had the idea however did not know what to do with the shot of her eyes. we did not know whether to leave it plain with the title 'Adah' across her nose or three different shots of her eyes. Poster Idea: First onePoster Idea: Second oneFont Ideas A nice attractive font can make an entire difference on a film, bringing it from an amateur level to professional and will give our film some credibility and life to begin with. The main final font I used was 'Papyrus' as I felt it looked authentic and had synergy with the Film Title. Viewers recognize these efforts and even though they might not say anything about it, they do engage to it. There are certain fonts that I knew to avoid when designing our title; Default fonts like Times New Roman, Courier and Comic Sans needed to be absolutely avoided.
